Public services simulation

Context: availability and flexibility

Public services companies have to deal with specifics needs and constraints, especially in terms of availability and flexibility. This is why process modifications, reorganization of flows or gathering of activities on one central site, shall be realized as background tasks in order to reduce their impact on users.

Our simulation approach aims to help these companies during their thinking and decision-making steps by allowing them to estimate and compare the considered scenarios. This estimation is possible thanks to dynamic performance indicators and the export of numerical results from the simulation.

Benefits of simulation for public services

Simulation is a dynamic analysis which consists of modelling a process on a computer in order to estimate and to improve its performances and profitability.

Our approach allows to :

  • Test several scenarios to identify the optimal one without disturbing the initial system (services reorganization);
  • Simulate how the future site will be operated to determine the optimal configuration before the setting-up (creation of a new site, bus garage...);
  • Optimize logistic flows and person flows on the site;
  • Identify and reduce bottlenecks;
  • Reduce waiting time and lead time;
  • Optimize the utilization and allocation of resources (equipment, employees...);
  • Optimize employees’ schedule to manage better the rush hours;
  • Improve the quality of service of your site;
  • Reduce the investment risk of the new equipment and projects.
